Milothey/them14Cat WerebeastMilo is the protagonist of Aetherdrop. They are autistic and tend to respond to things flatly or dryly. Quest says they're the hero of the Aetherdrop Prophecy, but they suspect he's not telling them the full truth. Regardless, they don't really care enough to question him.

Questhe/him??? (Adult)Raccoon(?) AetherlingQuest acts as Milo's enigmatic guide throughout Aetherdrop. He enjoys telling jokes and doesn't seem to take anything too seriously. His jovial manner hides the fact that he may not be as trustworthy as he seems.

Marzipan (Marzi)she/her20sSnake AetherlingMarzi is one of the last remaining denizens of the Mayor's Manor. She used to be Aether Town's gardener - back when they had a garden (and a town). Now she mostly roams the halls alone, occasionally running into her crush, Cricket, and the mean-tempered Theo.

Cricketshe/they20sGoat AetherlingFormerly a scientist, Cricket's current "job" includes shooing Quest away from the Manor - and not much else. Her hobbies include bullying her former lab partner, Theo, and flirting with the easily-flustered Marzipan. She's not afraid to throw a punch if needed (or if they want to), and has cracked Theo's head on more than one occasion.

Theodore (Theo)he/him20sAetherlingTheo went a little nuts after the Mayor showed up. Cricket says he used to be worth working with - but anyone who talks to him now would find that hard to believe. Despite his big talk and desire for power, Theo's flask head makes him vulnerable to physical attacks.

THE MAYORhe/him[AGE NOT AVAILABLE]Aetherling(?)The tyrant of Forest Town, the Mayor didn't hesitate to absorb the souls of anyone who opposed his sudden reign. He's really only a mayor in name; he'd never give those he subjugates a chance to fight back.

Malloryhe/him30sDog AetherlingMallory's job is, allegedly, guarding the bridge that leads into the Graveyard. To be fair, Quest is the only one traveling between zones nowadays, and he doesn't tend to take conventional routes. Most of Mallory's time is spent composing poetry and chatting with his best friend, Whisper. He tends to be inaccurately melodramatic in his delivery, but he means well.

Whisperthey/it???Void GhostThe door is not yet unlocked.Whisper spends most of its time with its best friend, Mallory. It can only speak in Old Runic, but Mallory and Quest appear able to understand it. Mallory was taught by Whisper themself. For Quest, the understanding is innate.

Sharkiehe/they13Shark AetherlingSharkie is an energetic little guy who is passionate about making friends and having fun. His energy might be too much for Milo, but in the past he had many more friends to split his attention between. Maybe he'll get them back someday.

Sashashe/her20Cat AetherlingSasha's ability to wield her soul as a source of power is unique among Aetherlings. Of course, it would have to be, considering she learned it from the Grave Warden. She considers him a father figure - a feeling which he seems to return, albeit with a deep sadness in his eyes. Sasha's loyalty is not something to trifle with.

Arizonashe/her30sLizard AetherlingArizona would do anything for her beloved wife, Zinnia. Anything, including sacrificing others to keep her murderous boss appeased. She does what she has to, and doesn't take any unnecessary risks. As long as she does what she's told, Zinnia will remain safe - at least, that's what she's been led to believe.

Mixhe/they14Snake AetherlingA self-proclaimed criminal, Mix finds the most joy in doing the opposite of whatever Arizona tells them to. He and Dusty are the only two remaining children in Sunset Town - a fact that may play into their disdain for the current leadership. At the very least, Mix knows to stay out of the Sheriff's way. In return, Arizona pretends to not know where their hideout is.

Dustyshe/it12AetherlingDusty is a strange child. She tends to stare unnervingly at people when speaking - a habit that Mix finds endearing rather than creepy. She can often be heard muttering under her breath correcting Mix's mistakes when he speaks. It's unclear whether Mix knows she does this or not.Arizona offered to remove the shackle on her wrist, but Dusty seems rather attached to it.

Lullabyany pronouns14Deer AetherlingDespite watching their audience grow smaller and smaller, Lullaby refuses to stop performing. After all, who else is left to keep a smile on everyone's faces? Well Security doesn't smile. And Augustine is annoying and mean. But at least there's her brother! Encore might be the only thing keeping Lullaby going at this point. Maybe that's why they're immediately endeared to Milo. Lucky for Lullaby, the feeling is mutual.

Encorehe/they19Deer AetherlingEncore's main priority is ensuring his hyperactive sibling doesn't accidentally ruin the Director's shows and draw her ire. His second priority, it seems, is spending time with Augustine (much to Lullaby's annoyance). He's the only cast member who has befriended Security - a fact that may have contributed to the three of them being the last performers standing.

Augustinehe/they/she19Bear AetherlingAugustine's ego is the only thing keeping him from going insane - well, that, and Encore. He's really the only person Augustine doesn't feel the need to act around nowadays. While it doesn't excuse it, his rudeness accomplishes the same purpose as Lullaby's constant smile - survival.

Securitythey/themlate 20sBunny AetherlingSecurity's relationship with the Director has kept them safe at the cost of pushing almost everyone else away from them. That's not to say the arrangement isn't genuine - both parties are very much in love, and while the Director might be a diva, she'd never hurt her precious bunny.
